Mickey Marshall
Certified Canadian Counsellor, MACP, HB Comms
Hi, I’m Mickey Marshall, a Certified Canadian Counsellor. As a proud Yellowknifer, I deeply appreciate this community and am committed to contributing to its mental health supports.
My career in counselling began with a personal journey through loss; losing my mother as a teenager set in motion the mindset and skills that have guided me to this profession. Returning to Yellowknife as an adult has been a valuable part of my healing journey, and now I am eager to give back to my community.
I specialize in working with adults to address a range of challenges, including stress, anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, trauma, burnout, body image, intimacy, sex education, and relationship issues. In addition, I have a passion for helping couples rebuild and strengthen their relationships. I’ve completed Level 1 and 2 training in the Gottman Method Couples Therapy, which provides evidence-based tools to enhance communication, resolve conflict, and foster intimacy. Whether it’s addressing long-standing issues or navigating new dynamics, I focus on helping couples develop stronger, more fulfilling connections.
My therapeutic approach integrates solution-focused, narrative, and cognitive-behavioral techniques. This allows me to tailor my work to each client’s unique needs and goals. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients can explore their emotions, gain clarity, and develop the tools they need to lead more fulfilling lives.
If you are seeking support in your journey of healing, growth, and self-discovery—whether as an individual or as part of a couple—I would be honoured to walk alongside you.
